Originally from the east coast, Amanda is currently going to school to get her BA in Metalsmithing and Jewelry at the Arizona State University. She enjoys learning old world techniques to use in her artwork. Her current body of work involves antique photographs from the late 1800’s to early 1900’s. The images she uses she finds in piles of photographs in an antique stores. She feels these people have been disregarded and dismissed from their families. Her work reflects the anonymous of the figures yet ties them all together to form a family tree and to confront those who have forgotten.
